What is SAFVIC Systems?

The goal of the system is to eliminate reporting redundancies and handwritten information by combining a variety of forms and templates to assist law enforcement with expediting the criminal justice system cycle through an electronic, user-friendly reporting interface. Systems is funded by the Texas Office of the Governor. Selected Texas law enforcement agencies and magistrates can utilize the program at no cost.
LEADRS Comprehensive Reporting
Since 2003, Law Enforcement Advanced DUI/DWI/Data Reporting Systems (LEADRS) has been working to bridge the gap between law enforcement and prosecutors. As part of that initiative, SAFVIC Systems was born as a holistic approach to assisting law enforcement agencies document and produce quality domestic violence investigation information and evidence. According to a survey administered by SAFVIC Systems, more than 20 different forms are utilized across the State of Texas to assist law enforcement with domestic violence reporting. Instead of having 20 different forms, this portal combines the experience into one standardized template — with the goal of improving user experience and communication across criminal justice entities.
SAFVIC Systems guides users through the following forms to extract comprehensive data for the report.
Standard forms utilized within the system are comprised of:
